Planning could have been better.. Everything went well except for 2-3 days where we have to travel for long stretch where felt like few places would have been altered to reduce travelling stretch( But mostly unavoidable )

Located at a size up to 3048 m, the temple was built by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the early 1700s. Gangotri Tour is mentioned among one of the places of Char Dham Yatra and is visited by devotees in huge numbers. However, due to heavy snow during wintertime season year (from Nov to March) the shrine remains shut.
But for the benefit of the tourists and to continue the Char Dham Tour with Gangotri Yatra, the idols of the temple are moved to Mukhba and Kharsail in Uttarkashi place. But from Apr again, for the rest of the year, they are moved back to their original position.
